Is it possible to use some kind of compound that can restore leather on steering wheels. By restore I don't actually mean restore. I mean make it so that your hand doesn't stick to it and you don't pick up little flakes of leather when you slide your hand on it.

I got a wheelskins ;)

Leather is GREAT, it will outlast vinyl on high wear parts (chift knobs, steering wheels). You do have to take car of it though. It's skin, it needs to breath, and it needs to be moisturized.

Clean it with mild soap and water to open the pores and remove the dirt. Then treat with a GOOD leather product. Most car leather products suck, get something made for expensive leather (like a saddle).

Where did you have yours redone? It looks VERY well done! I would like to have my wheel with new, fresh leather!

You could also remove the leather wrap altogether and it's black underneath. Same goes for the stock shift knob.

true enough. If you into going for a pleasurable cruise I want nice soft leather for my hands, a comfortable seat for my rear and a good kisser for my copilot!:naughty:
