ok i've searched and since i'm not very good at searching on the forum i just decided to ask...

i am leaking a small amount of coolant from under the intake manifold and can't seem to pinpoint where it's coming from. if anyone can sort of point me in the direction to start looking it would help.

i know/ assume that water runs through the hose connecting to the block...but it seems fine.

look under the #2 injector. there is a small port that comes off the lower intake manifold to feed coolant to the TB and ISC; it is them routed back into the cooling towards the back.

i'm willing to bet the hose is old and brittle and is now leaking.

if it doesn't get to cold in your area you can simply loop the line from the port off the lower intake maniold to the metal port under the EGR (backof the head)

ok the hose seems fine no cracks or tears but i did notice that the hose has a permenant indension from the factory clamp and i was wondering if maybe since it IS old that the clamp isn't clamping hard enough and liquid is sneaking by?????

just a thought

Yep it's the hose more likely than not. If it's old enough to show a perfect imprint from the clamp, then you're due for hoses.
I'd replace them all, but that's just me.

If you don't think it's the hose, go get some coolant tracer dye and put it in the radiator. let it cycle through and using a blacklight, watch that area closely as the car runs. you'll find out exactly where it's coming from.

i had a leak at the same spot few months back. only when the system was pressurized. hose looked perfectly fine. i just pulled on it and the line broke in 2. replaced that line and i was good to go.
