Replaced the HG and started it up and found a leak around the water pump so i replaced the water pump, but its still leaking from that area. It looks like its leaking from behind the water pump. Anyone have any idea where it could be leaking from? thanks for any help

There is a coolant hose that runs underneath the power steering resevoir, you could check there. Also, check the bottom of your thermostat housing. I've seen that leaking on a number of cars where you can't necessarily see it at first glance, but take a feel and it's wet.

It bolts on to the head. The piece that the upper rad hose fits on to. Don't just look for it there, feel for it and see if it's wet.

There is a metal hardpipie that runs under the exhaust manifold and bolts the the lower timing cover which can leak. It is hard to see, you may need a mirror to look up in there, but it is another possible leak point in that area.

the most typical place for any leak is that rubber hose that is under the distributor that goes onto the bottom of your thermostat housing, because its not a hose people really pay attention too and is not replaced often, look there its kind of a pain to get too you may have to unbolt the distributor to get to it..

I. changed the hose under the distributor but maybe the clamp didn't get a good grip cause it was kinda hard to get those hose clamps to tighten up with a screw driver in there so I'll check it again..... it has a seal where the thermostat sits and where the water neck bolts up to the block and that's it
