This guy here, spencer sent me a message a while back wanting to know how to get the layout I had at the time. I explained to him that I made it myself and I used http://www.mygen.co.uk to make the page.

Well a week or so goes by and I get this awesome message from him again, saying "hey dude you're being unfair to us mk3 guys by not giving out the layout code so I stole it". Well I click his page and low and behold there is my fucking layout, on his fucking page. Now this dudes supposedly a fellow mk3 owner and member of SM but let me say most people on supramania don't go jacking peoples shit, especially when the person told them how to do something similar and that they didn't want everyone using thier shit.

Well ok fine I changed my layout again, now both layouts featured my car and they were photos of my car the I took. My new layout was similar but had some different pics and all to seperate myself from spencer's. Well he couldn't settle there he steals my newst layout, then proceeds to tell me he can't get the codes I sent him to work. Well if you can steal a layout how can you not make codes work that I send? and yes I checked the codes, THEY WORK!

I offered several times to make him pages and send them to him, which I did and he claims they don't work, well they do and I am not thrilled with having some dude stalking my page all in the name of getting my fucking layouts that I actually put some effort into to make for myself. I gave him the site I use, it's free, it's easy as hell to use. You'd have to be retarded to not be able to operate the profile editor function on the site. Seems to me the guys just lazy and wants to mooch off people who actually put effort into something.

I know this may seem petty, and yea it's a myspace page not like he jacked my credit record. But it's still stealing, and stealing from someone who offered to help someone that in all fairness he had no reason to, I don't know this guy and yea he owns a supra but thats not like family. Yet I still tried to help him and all he can do is fucking jack every layout I make

If you look at my myspace you won't see that layout because I deleted it, and unhosted the pics, his code still gives him some of the shit I had but it should all disappear except the banner and cursor and possibly the contact table. Not had to steal myspace layouts, all ya do is right click and hit view source and copy it. I think it's fucked up he not only stole it but stole the next 3 versions I made to get away from the style he stole from me originally.


Anyways that's my soapbox, I think he posts on here but not sure what his name is on here, his real name's spencer and he lives in florida. according to his page.

I made my layout, I like it, simple and explains my state of mind currently I guess. I plan on adding more when Im not so lazy

I prolly shouldn't have tried to help him but I thought it would fix the problem, it didn't thanks for the opinions guys, I really at least wanted Supramania to know what he was and what he was about.

oh and lagged, the layout was of my car, and the pics I had taken and edited myself they aren't "characters" whatever the fuck you mean by that. If you don't give a shit then don't post on the thread. It was a layout not text I said or anything like that, I have a right not to have my pics all over the net, it wasn't something I posted, it was a background etc for my personal use.

im of the opinion that anything you transmit can not ever be "yours". you sent it out, other people received it. millions have received the information you have sent out, there is no way in hell you can claim it as yours. its simply the nature of the internet and computers in general.

btw, im far from ignorant. i am a third year CS major and will be going to graduate school after that.

furthermore, i am completely aware of the fact that there are laws regarding the patenting of so called "intellectual property" but the simple truth of the matter is that such laws become completely unenforceable when millions and millions of people are breaking these "laws".

your layout was most likely not covered by any type of intellectual property laws and as such you have no legal recourse. you can bitch and moan about it all you want, but just the same, i can voice my opinion on the matter as well.

You missed the whole point, I didn't say I was sueing the moron or anything legal, I am however making others aware of what this particular member of the forum does, and he did much more than just snag my creation, he stole one of the previous posters sigs on here.

Yea I can bitch and moan pretty sure that was the point of this thread, one of my big problems with people, especially my fellow americans is that they have no values or morals ( I don't mean religion either I'm not any religion BTW). Americans and other humans on this lovely rock seem to believe that what they do is right even if its something that they themselves would percieve as wrong if someone other than them did it.

This example is petty, but most problems start with petty things and progress to a point in which they become larger issues such as theft, homicide, rape, and other illegal, unethical or immoral activities.

It's like people who cheat on thier boyfriend/girlfriend, you have no legal recourse and it's "OK" because "Everyone does it". However it's still wrong and is a behavior indicative of someone who has no morals, ethics, or values and is so self centered others feelings have no value to them. I compare this to what this guy did regarding my layout just to illustrate its a similar behavior pattern. I'm disgusted with people in general, there are some "good" people but they are the minority.

Then there are people who justify these behaviors, or at least don't give a shit enough to say anything or agree with anyone who does. The people are allowers of the issues and as much of a part of the problem as anyone else.
