I admit Im a newb at the supra tuning. But im looking for something that i can build boost at a stop like a 2step. I've done SOME research but cant find what I'm lookin for. I'm jus running a bpu setup on my 87 and I'm wantin to get my launching down.

So would i need a 2-step or a anti-lag system??
Where or what software can I purchase to get this ??

thanks for the help ahead of time

The only thing that I kno of that has a launch control, is megasquirt. But that's if your interested in a fuel manangement system.

Outside of that, I kno they have a 2 step for a 1jz...

but idk tho... i haven't looked up anything like that in sometime...

The closest thing you'll get on a stock ecu powered 7M is the MSD DIS-4. Check it out, and search around a bit. Check MK3Brent's posts, I know he's running that setup.

oh boy.

if you do use thing "thing" to build boost while at a stop. Are you also prepared to make the turbo a throw away part because you will shorten the turbos life conciderably.

why is this? heat or oil supply issue?

heat

think about it this way. there is enough energy in each cylinder to move our fat ass cars. when that heat is not focus on pushing the pistons down, the EGT in the manifold climb to 1800+ degree with most aggressive ALS banging out 2000+ degree F. not good for the turbo or most metals.

yeah but a two step is not anti-lag. When the car hits the factory rev limiter it will build boost (just like a 2 step does) with negligible effect to the turbo. All a two-step does is hold a secondary rev limiter (adjustable) to build the boost. ALS like a WRC do kill turbos and involve igniting the mixture so late that most of the energy goes straight out the exhaust valve. I don't know of many people with "street" cars that use an anti-lag setup.

and what pray tell do you think a 2 step does? kill the fuel or ignition on most boxes? On a standalone like a MoTeC, I can kill either or both. the bee-R limiter just kill ignition, care to take a guess what happens to all that fuel that is still being pumped out? not only is the ignition timing of the 2 step unknown but it is actually WORSE by a significant margin as now the unlit fuel is being lit up by the next exhaust process meaning unlike als were the combustion takes place in the cylinder, those little worthlss boxes are even more detrimental to the turbo's life.
