Well ever since I had my transmission rebuilt (auto) my car has had the no start issue. The car occasionally starts but most of the time doesn't. In order for me to start the car I tap on the starter and it starts right up while someone else turns the key over. I have put 4 starters in the car thinking they were just junk units but I also tested each individual starter out of the car and they would spin without issue. I attempted the rely mod but it still did not solve the problem. I also connect a ground from the starter directly to the battery but still nothing happens.

This week I was going to order a starter relay and ignition switch to see if it would solve my no start/ if not I would just return them but I'll be all out of ideas.

I need your help guys

Possible areas. Battery - starter wiring (positive/negative) - starter - Igntion cylinder wiring or Neutral saftey switch.
Chances its starting while your hitting it is luck, if you truely put 4 starters in it already.

Check the voltage on the starter signal wire when trying to crank and it's not turning over. Most starters need at least 9V on that signal line to engage. When I was having my issues that line was only giving me 7.2V. From there you can work backwards and see at what point along the line you are losing your voltage. If the signal wire tests out ok, check the voltage by measuring off the power supply terminal and the starter housing itself. If you are getting a different reading there than off your battery posts either your power feed cable is bad or you've got a bad ground.

All you need is a multimeter and some time and patience and it should be fairly easy to figure out.

you should hear a click every time, not sure about a relay mod for a starter but your factory relay could be the culprit, usually a few bucks from any auto parts store. if it turns over fine with the starter test then its not the starter hehe. starter, relay, wires, if these are used starters sometimes ive seen bad mounts for the wires (usually a few bucks for a new kit)
