So I was heading down to a booty call that failed and it starts getting dark, no problem. I turn on my lights, no instrument lights. The damn fuse blew. I can't do squat because my fuses are in my other car. I had to use my GPS to tell me how fast I was going. Later, while returning from a failed booty call an hour away (she wanted to know me better), I hear a sound of metal on road every few seconds very briefly. At first I was thinking it was my drip pan in the back and that it was hitting the bare metal, but then I realized that it was the wrong tone, and that it was coming from the front of the car. Mind you I'm doing 80 on the freeway. So I pull off the first exit and find a well lit parking garage. I look under the car, only to find that the two bolts that secure the back half of my exhaust system in place are gone and that my exhaust is hanging down. To make matters worse, I don't have a jack, and my car is lowered pretty low. I had to unbolt the leather strap holding up the muffler (I didn't do this, I just got the car), then reach under the car and cut the rubber hanger to get the exhaust to drop free. Pulled the exhaust free and out from under the car and put it inside as my new passenger. Due to the car being soooo low, the exhaust has scrapes in a few places, including 1 big flat spot near the end where it was the lowest point on the car (I'm amazed it didn't have a hole there). Had to drive 40 miles home with just my downpipe roaring. What a night.
