I'm going to be installing 550's and an upgraded fuel pump to my car. The plan is to then have the MAFT Pro installed and tuned very soon after. Lets say I drive the car several hundred miles(before maft pro is installed), but in a manner so the turbo never kicks in. Is this detrimental to the car in any way?

drill out the j-tube on the side of the block under the intake manifold. there's a restriction in it that will cause you to run rich because the upgraded fuel pump will flow much more fuel. here's a pic of the j-tube:
