kwik 7m-ge/gte q's

-I have a chance to get a 7m-ge out of a wrecked (in the rear) 91 toyota cressida that has only 42k. What i was wantng to know, Are the 7m-ge's in the cressida's the same as the ones in our supras?

-Are the internals the same from the 7m-gte to the 7m-ge, Obvisiously other than compresssion.
*bore-stroke-cams/head specs ?

*i would guess that it would better to turbo a an N/A car than build off a already t/c'ed car..Since the cams will have a higher lift and lobe.

the OIL PAN IS NOT. You would have to use the oil pan that you have on the cresida. Same goes for the head being N/A can not be used with turbo as the turbo manifold is different than the N/A mani.

Ok..i think you misunderstood me.this motor would be going in a 3rd gen supra.Not t/c'ing a cressida.So i would need a supra oil pan then, right?

Is there an aftermarket turbo mani that would be beter to upgrade other than the oem turbo mani?..or are you saying i cannot use the n/a head at all?

the stock turbo manifolds will bolt directly up to an N/A head. The two heads are identicle except for the cams.

Yes, he is right, you CAN use the NA head, it is the exact same with the exception of the cams and some airflow changes from certain years. When using the 7MGE from a Cressida, you need to swap the oil pan AND the oil pump from a Supra or else the Cressida oil pan will hit the crossmember. The sumps on the oil pumps are different so you need to switch them too.

Yes you are correct you NEED the SUPRA oil pan and oil pump.
