ok iv been looking for new shocks and the ones that cought my eye was the yellow koni. i looked them up in the search part of supraforums but couldnt find what i was looking for. i want my car to handle like crazy. something really stiff so i wont have no body roll or anythhing just high speed cornering.

is koni right for the job or will the cheaper bilstien work just as good? any other suggestion for shocks? i cant afford coilovers but im gonna get lowering springs.

Im running the koni's I have them on full stiff there good but they could be stiffer I got a good deal on mine cheaper than bilstiens that was the only reason I went koni, im running ground control coilovers with 1000lb springs front and 600 rear still cheaper than full coilovers

I'm running the Koni yellows at probably 3/4 stiff. I don't have a need to bruise my kidneys so these are good basic absorbers for a mild ride.

BTW, absorbers won't stop body roll, only control the roll rate. Aftermarket anti-roll bars (with poly bushings of course) will give you a dramatic decrease in body roll.

konis are stiffer then the blistens and i dont know about the blistens but the konis have a life time warranty. also you cna have the konis valved for specific spring rates for the best ride

Koni's are easily rebuildable so a change in Oil weight is simple if you need them stiffer, once you run out of the range of heavier weight Oil that will work then you can have them revalved and start again!

I had a custom set built to my specs and LOVE them as they match my spring rate perfectly!

Stock Koni's range of valving suits stock to + 10% increase in rate so should be fine with most of the aftermarket springs.

Once you go past this it's time to start playing inside the shocks.

They set my new shocks up so 0 on the clicker is just about perfect for my springs and 1/4 turn is spot on so in the future as they wear I just increase the damping so compensate.

Or for track days on slicks I can go full hard.
