where is the knock sensor? and would it cause the car to idle roughly then die, or turn over, fire a couple times, but not start?

hey i have the same thing the ks code is showing up i think mine is cuz of old gas and needing tune up.

dont worry, didnt need to. I got fed up, and hit it a couple times w/ the hammer, and it started rigt up!
remember though, if your turbo you have two of them:evil2:
only the n/a has one. but someone here(i think it might be shaeef, but i might be wrong) has/makes new knock sensor wire kits. if the sensor isnt bad after you test it, the wiring might be bad and deserve a good upgrade!

just be careful with th ks and try testing it first. the toyota ones are like$120, but i did read somewhere about being able to rewire mg knock sensors into there.
