i have both knock sensors located, but one is just zip tied to a hose and suspended there. obviously the wreckanic didn't know where to put it.. well i'm not an experienced mechanic, so I don't know either. could anyone provide some tips or maybe a picture so i could put it on correctly? It is the one towards the front of the car that is not on correctly.

Ok, so i was mistaken the whole time. well, thats how i learn. So what are the small cylindrical shaped things with the round black rubber like things on the end? There are also two of them, and they are also right below the manifold.

ok, did some more research.. VSV, thats what it is, if I'm not mistaken.
there are two VSV's the front one (furthest from firewall) is for your Fuel Pressure Regulator, the rear one is for your EGR system.

the knock sensors have a round tip with a nut to help thread the KS into the hole on the intake side right under the plenum.

Im trying to find you a pick of them on the block but so far no luck

see the two round things w/ the red bankds around them? Those are your knock sensors. That picture is looking from the back of the motor to the front, as if you were in the drivers seat. KS's will be on the drivers side under the plenum feel around youll find em :)

Ok, I need to go outside and have a look, but just a question, might it be easier to take off the manifold to get to the knock sensor. might be a stupid question, cuz I did not check yet.

if you have small hands you can get up under the manifold and hook the connectors up, if you want to take them out your going to need to take off the upper intake manifold as well as lower intake runner and all the upper intake piping and hoses etc.

Hey guys, the probem was that the plugin for the second knock sensor (not the first, as the diagnostic code said) was ripped off. so it was not plugged in. I was able to fabricate a plugin that i could ziptie into place, and it contacts good. check engine light is off, engine run good now, no hesitation. still feels weaker than expected, but will wait for breakin to be complete, and then test some more. Did a 0-60 run (timed by HKS Turbo Timer) without redlining anything, and clocked it at 7.32 not sure how good or bad this is..

thanks for the help guys.. Supramania is priceless.
