Got some vids of my car, yeah.. im pretty sure its rod knock.

Quicktime is required to play the files, if someone has the ability to convert these that would be awesome to do that for me. thx

haha, interesting one guy says it doesnt sound like RK, but it cant be good. Its gotten progressively worse and i mainly notice it inside the cockpit w/ tranny in N and rev at 2500-3000rpm other then that its not really noticeable(yet).

Anyone else got any thoughts?

Try pulling each injector clip one at a time and see if it changes

what would that indicate? friend of mine's car(not a supra) is having a problen that sounds like that.

If the thrust bearings in the Motor are shagged you'll hear/feel it in the Clutch.

Also sometimes the front bearing in the trans can die and make noise and this will show up with the clutch as well.

yeah. my friends focus SVT. at idle it sounds like a low "tick tick tick" with the pedal out. pedal down it goes away. this is what we're talking about right? i should let him know... and tell him the dealership that sold it to him(not more than a month or 2 ago) has some explaining to do.

Sounds more like trans/clutch then the Engine TJ!

someone told me they listened to my videos today and said they think this could be piston slap and not rod knock. Is there anyway to test/tell the difference?

not yet i havent had time, i would like to do it tonight if i have free time. But will you be able to tell the diff of RK and Slap by doing that?

And can i pull the spark plugs and not the injectors? plugs seem alot easier to unclip at the coilpack rather then undoing each injector..

You can do either I prefer to do the INJ plugs as it can be done while it's running so gives a more consistant result.
