Take a pre 1970's penny and rub it on the crank. If the copper stays on the crank its toast.

Really? I'll try that. But either way, the crank will be magnafluxed then ground, mircopolished, shot peened and balanced, and a microsleve installed on the rear of the crank for the rear main seal. I have another crank for my customer if this one is unusable.

Also, are you going to have the processes done in that order to the crank? (I would hope not)

I think we will polish it first, then balance it, then grind it. :crazy1:
No, JK, I'll let the machine shop figure it out. I pay other people to get that done right.

LOL.....Hey Aaron I've pretty much replace all the old parts on this engine just so I can say go 1J. Daily driven, 1.5 bar, and OH yeah the SCL worked (140mph). LMK when you wanna hang out again.

Remember I got connection (RND) up in no time.

140! nice. I just gotta stick up for the 7m cause even with all the headaches I still love it. The 1j is nice, better design obviously, but my 1j has a turbo going out, a miss under boost and knocking sound at startup. My 7m on the other hand, gets flogged daily at 18-20psi and has not had any problems since it was CORRECTLY built.
