So I'm buying a nice turtle tank for my gf's turtle this Friday and I found one on craigslist for a steal ( 50 gallon, heater, stand, turtle holder thing, filter, decorations ect, and even another turtle of the same breed, for only $135 ), and I've been emailing the details with this woman. Anyway, I told her I only had a sports car so hopefully it will all fit. She then replied with this:

"Okay Matt.....with your e-mail address and you saying
that you have a sports car.....it better not be the
car of my dreams....a Supra!! You will have to leave
that here if it is. You can take my 4-runner or the
Mazda Rx8 I just got that I am planning on selling
soon."

I was like, woah cool... but expecting the ever so common oh, an MKIII I ment MKIV. So I replied saying your probably thinking of the 93+ Supra, I have an 87 Supra Turbo, and that I'm a bigger fan of the older gens MK1-MKIII.

Her response was:

"You're wrong....I'm a fan of the older ones. The newer
ones look nothing like the originals. Lost the great
lines.

If it's black, you aren't going home in it!! lol"

Anyway, I just thought that was pretty cool. It's not everyday you run into people saying old school supra's are their dream cars... and much less a women. It's nice to see these cars get some props once and awhile in the shadow of the MKIV.

you never know talk her up.....get the rx8 and the turtle.....or let her drive your car for the tank win win. You get the turlte and tank and she gets to drive her dream car.

Lol Just this past week I was getting ready to go somewhere, so I pulled my car outta the garage and let it warm up a little. It was sitting so that the front end was facing the street. Just as I got out to go back inside, the mail woman came by, so I went to get it. As she pulled closer I saw her eyes lite up... lol She said "I had one of those years ago and LOVED IT!!"
We talked and I went on to ask her the usual Q in this situation, like what happened to it..? She said she sold it but really regretted it. She also said the usual, "I wish they still made 'em like that..."

lol "Me too..."


EDIT oh yeah, what kind of turtle? I had a RES for about two years, then gave it a new home since i didn't have time to give it the care it deserved anymore.

I know this woman at work, late 40s. We talk cars sometimes, as hers was always breaking down. Then she asked me one day,
"what do you drive?"
"A Supra."
"Supra? I had one of those in 88"
"What did you do with it?"
"I crashed it :("

I thought it was funny because she's this tiny old little asian woman. I didn't expect her to say she used to own a Supra.

Nice setup, I was gonna say it needed more land then I saw the things at the top. I assume it's heated and all?
