as you know i just traded my 1g for a 7mgte with a ffim t70 and other goodies. ok heres the ? what in the hell does the ffim do exactly? i know it helps out on top end but thats about all i know.and dont flame too much remember i was the owner of a friggin 1g. and nowi am going to" break on through to the other side" ( with the tune of the doors) lol im ready to start a build up. and need to figure out what i have and what i dont.

Just to be clear, are you referring to a forward facing intake manifold?

do you have pictures of it? would you be insterested in getting rid of it? ill GIVE you my intake manifold plust all upper intercooler pipes with an HKS BOV flange in trade plus cash...

The primary reason I like a FFIM on a 7M is to get that stupid piping crossing the engine out of the way. It makes it 100 times easier to change plugs (something you do on a modified car a lot), keeps your intake piping from crossing over a hot motor, and overall cleans up the engine compartment a lot.

Also, depending on the design, it may flow better at high rpm's better than the stock one. But that's really a matter of how well the manifold was designed.

im not yet getting rid of anything until i figure out what im using and what im not but ill let you know.theres a pic in the 7m tech section under whats your thoughts check it out.

keep the ffim. its your best bet. even if you arnt making crazy numbers, it shortens up your IC piping to give you a little more response, and it does clean things up nicely. not to mention that it may flow better than stock, depending on design.:icon_bigg
