I know this a vague question, but I'm just wondering how much boost all you wonderful people feel I could be safe running.

-First of all, I'm workin' with a SP61GT
-I'm using the stock manifold, with an aftermarket FMIC
-I have a 2mm metal headgasket, the machine shop took off minimal from the head
-I run 93 octane with methanol injection (50% water, 50% meth), through a single 15 grph nozzle.

thats pretty much the critical information, I have an idea of how much I can run, but I know the experts will think of something I've overlooked.

ALSO- instead of making another thread.. what can I do to ensure that my turbo is getting enough oil at high boost. I'm on a completely stock oil system with dual stock oil coolers.

From what people have told me, 18psi is usuable with a good tune on 93 octane, a relatively efficient turbo, decent FMIC, etc. With a minute compression drop and some injection like yours I'm *guessing* you can safely manage 20-23 or so

Actually, the oiling problems with the turbo is too MUCH pressure or metal shit getting in the bearings. People usually have special little filters before the oil inlet on the turbo to catch shit like that in

Oil filter relocation kit should actually bump up pressures a bit IIRC because that and the oil coolers are where the biggest restrictions are

Thanks for the input Orion, thats a good point I have heard that the problem with oil IS too much oil pressure.

Yea, I know these safe boost questions ARE prevalent, and annoying when they pop up.. epecially when they have already been discussed. However, I'd research it more if I had the means, and besides we havn't hit much on the alcohol injection in conjunction with boost topic very extensively, so I'm sure others could benfit from this post.
