When I purchased my supra it had only one key. Well I lost that key. Toyota isn't the easiest people to deal with in N.Y.. I was told that there could be a key code located somewhere in the car. Any help?:cry:

The key code as I remember is on the lock assembly itself...inside the door.

I believe its on the passenger lock on the inside, so yes you need to remove the panel.

Give a local dealer the VIN and proof of ownership, they'll make some and sell them to you.

find another supra owner around you with a key that works and make a copy.

The key code is on the lock cylinder on the passanger side. Toyota no longer
has records for the older cars on file (called toyota Nat. office and 3 dealers)
in any case get the key code from the cylinder and your parts guy at any Toyota dealer can make you a new master in 3-4 mins.

/\ this is exactly correct. a good lock smith can also make you one. the finding another supra key only works on the earlier (pre89) cars and it has to be fairly well worn to work.
