First off, I did read the couple threads on this same topic, but I have some different questions that werent covered. I dont have enough money for a full spring/strut combo so I'm just getting the stock JZA70 springs for now.

1. Has anyone had experience using these on the stock pre89 struts?

2. Will there really be an ugly/weird difference in ride height when comparing front to back?

Are your current springs broken? If not... save your money. Get a new set of springs for about $200 - we won't even talk about the labor to install stock springs with stock springs (even if you do the work yourself).

Do it once. Do it right!

Mine struts probably are shot, but I dont have enough for a whole new setup. My car ride now doesnt ever bottom out or anything. I just want the JZA70's because they only lower it a little bit and are still good quality.

Borhor, so you think that if I put just the springs in, the ride height will still be even all around?

suprastanger507mgte I sold the TTR springs with the Bilstien Shocks together. I almost wish i kept them. I have H&R's on my car at the moment

I repaced my stock setup with JZA70 Springs (not TT-R), and KYB GR-2's...they are great shocks and are really cheap...IIRC, you can get a full set for like $100-120.

And yes, the JZA70 Springs lower the car about 1.5"...Here are a couple pics:

I like them, I think they give you the perfect ride height...the others are too low, even with these springs, I still scrape on driveways and speedbumps occasionaly.

Nice, I really like that height. I'll look around now, but is that the usual going rate anywhere for those struts?

I just bought some aerosol aircraft paint remover so come spring my wheels should look like yours.
