I was just wondering is the jza70 the same body as the ma70 with a different motor? Will parts interchange jsut wondering?

1JZ 2.5 R's have a Torsen LSD instead of Clutch LSD
The gear ratio is 4.10, as opposed to 7M 3.7, 3.9
The radiator has an extra temp sensor, larger intercooler
Most replacement parts are the same. It is the same car.
7M-GTE said:actually I believe it's 89+... correct me if I'm wrong though... and I think the diff is a 4.30 instead of the 4.10... I think the 4.10 is an aftermarket lsd from torsen... I'm not sure about the extra temp sensor or larger IC... I think the IC's were the same from pre89 to post89... but that temp sensor I'm not to sure of... I know some of the 89+ powersteering racks had pps(progressive powersteering)... Im' not sure if this came on pre89 cars...
garagefujimoto said:Well if you aren't so sure... read, and learn. Don't post false info that has been in like 800 posts that could easily be clarified with the search button. I have 3 JZA70's in my garage right now, so I can get pics if you'd like to clarify any details.
The mounts and crossmember were changed in late 1989 for all cars
As we are talking only about JZA70 which began 1990, this is a moot point.
4.3 diffs only came on N/A 7M-GE's
Torsen is a kind of differential, not a brand. It is stock, not aftermarket.
The rad and i/c are different on 1JZ, not 87-88/89+ 7M's
We are talking about 1JZ's here. That is the title of the post "JZA70"
Late 89+ cars all have PPS regardless of engine.
Thank You

garagefujimoto said:Whatever. The question was in regard to cars originally built with 1JZ-GTE.
I only tried to clarify that information, and one or more members learned from it.
PS Thanx for the mispelled and bolded parts of your post, they were special
Torsen is a brand name. Many automakers use it.Torsen is a kind of differential, not a brand

Chill folks, it's the internet.
