Most of you know a did a full engine build. I deleted my thread for many reasons so hopefully I can post everything up in just one easy page!

Pulled the car on my old shops lift

yanked out the JDM 7m
p665753_2.jpg

bam as it sat that evening
p665753_3.jpg

Bought some new Wiseco .040 over pistons cause the block needed to be bored
p665753_4.jpg

Comparo to stock
p665753_5.jpg

Bought some Eagle rods that I posted Comparo pics of the the stocker
p665753_6.jpg

had alot of stuff powder coated.
p665753_7.jpg

The JDM motor torn apart. Amongst tearing it apart I see that it has been rebuilt. Within further investigation the new rings were not gapped.
p665753_8.jpg

Assembled the rods and pistons
p665753_9.jpg

Bought a 90mm tb
p665753_10.jpg

PT70 Turbo before I polished it!
p665753_11.jpg

Got the pretty head back!
p665753_12.jpg

Assembled the Engine with the assistance of Noah and his wife Sandy
p665753_13.jpg

p665753_14.jpg

Polished the Turbo
p665753_15.jpg

Greddy 2.0mm MHG
p665753_16.jpg

Brake quiet on both sides of the gasket.
p665753_17.jpg

Engine Assembled
p665753_18.jpg

I forgot to add the motor I rebuilt was not the JDM motor, simply because the JDM motor didnt have oil squirters and heck its nice to keep it all original right? The usdm orginal motor that was in the car was siezed when I bought it. 2,3,4,5 were melted to the walls and the pistons were in pieces. Therefore I had no choice but to bore the block .040 over

There is somethings I have yet to install. like the turbo setup and so on. I've been in the middle of a long move trying to get everything in 1 place. I do not have a shop to do most of my work and my tools are spread 30 miles apart so its a little difficult trying to get things together. Car has been running for about 6 months flawlessly. I have driven it to houston and back and still under my first 3000 miles.
The other things I need to install.
Maft Pro setup
p665765_1.jpg

RR FFIM with 31x4x3inlet and outlet intercooler
p665765_2.jpg

3" ic piping
p665765_3.jpg

and of course the whoopdy doo Turbo with Ceramic coated manifold and custom made spacer
p665765_4.jpg

The Engine how it sits in the somewhat stock form
p665765_5.jpg

o and the car before i put it in the garage where it sits at the new house. Photo recently taken at the old place.
p665765_6.jpg

But before I took it to houston i did have a small problem. 1st gear went out, it wouldnt stay in 1st gear so I tore the tranny down.

p665765_7.jpg

And found out that it was what I and a few others thought. Broken 1st gear thrust washer
p665765_8.jpg

Rebuilt the Tranny and it drives fine now! I do have a few more problems that have popped up since then and that a blown out driver side rear strut soon to be replaced by coil overs and a dead rack and pinion soon to be replaced!

I'd like to give special Thanks for the ones that helped make the build possible with their knowledge and help...
IJ for the questions asked
Reign_Maker my brother for the countless times we've talked about this and the times we have endured to get our cars moving except I beat him because I had a fire under my ass! Tho im on stock equipment :(
Noah and Sandy that came over to read the TSRM, Get assembly lube everywhere and assemble.
Thomas "not active on the boards" for advice and givin help
BISHOP also for throwing some info and advice my way
And many others on SM that have given me props because all the good talk brought me up when it seemed it would never get finished! That was really an uplifting of the spirits!!

Thanks guys. My old build thread had tons of pages and tons of pictures, figure I would simplify it for readers sakes!

I didnt get it the way I wanted to but its driving and thats all that counts. I wanted to paint the engine bay with a beautiful coat of fresh 206 custom - instead of the ruby red pearl I used royal blue pearl and it looks beautiful!
One day I'll lay it down but not right now :( maybe when I go to put the big things on I hope. What really held me up was Hurricane katrina. I pulled the motor out and apart 1 week prior to it hittin us and had an appt. to take it to the machine shop the monday the storm hit. Needless to say the machine shop was closed for 6 months and by the time I got my block and head there it took another 5 months for them to get it all done.

JAV: I thought since it was red it was meant to stop, hence brake quiet!
Buck: thanks man although it didnt go the way I want im not loosing hope to get it that way eventually!

Is this where I start riddling your thread with MILF requests? ;)

Glad to see you put it back up brother...

Well took off the old Ct and stock exhaust side. Mocked up everything simply to measure and cut my SS lines then I will take it apart to mess with the wg position and weld some more bracing to the manifold itself. Everything is dirty now but when i finalize everything it will be cleaned up.

We did that too when I had a HKS MHG put in my motor. This was a long time ago and before I did my research and reading here. Mine is holding up fine albeit at a moderate power level.

no real updates just yet. besides getting a new steering wheel (momo), shift boot, ebrake boot. Still routing ic piping, ordered some more couplers, and waiting for christmas to pass so I can buy my fuel pump and injectors all in 1 purchase.

But here is a pic of the car before I parked it.

Wow Justin, been long time since I saw the black car... I think it was when I brought you the 3piece wing. Coming along nicely, gonna be pretty fast. Only one thing wrong car is too shiney for me. Dont' like shiney:3d_frown:

I never saw this "build" get started. Here lies the answer to the question I asked the other day. The car looks really good as it was before parking. Can't wait to see it completed.

hahahaha George doesn't like shiney! It pains him to see someone else with a car ALMOST as shiney as his.
