its a red 5 speed 86.5 with 145k miles. I picked it up in san diego for 1,800. I took it to a friends shop and we already threw new brake pads and rotors on there. We got it up on the lift and there was an oil leak, they think its the pan so by now they should have replaced the valve gasket and they threw new spark plugs in.

Unfortuantly, it's going to need a timing belt and some other things. I was hoping and excited that i got a good deal but as this stuff keeps coming up the bill gets bigger. Of course now that i go on craigslist and what have you i find so many other cars that would do just fine for cheaper:nono:

The center console is jacked and the seats could use some replacing.

I'll get pics up on monday when i get the car back. Just wanted to use this section for what its for. I've already hit up the classifieds looking for parts, haha.

You can buy them all day long for 1500 -2500.. but they are not cheap cars to maintain... Head gasket is the most problems... so i sujest you try and see if its been changed...@145 if it has not.. it will be real soon...

Is it NA or turbo ? and ALL the center arm rest are trashed...ebay sells covers..

its NA, which at the time i preferred, but i think i may have wanted a turbo.

after seeing the bill for the parts & labor and then checking craigslists, im having feelings of regret. im only 19 and am hoppin and skippin around jobs right now. if i could have got a cleaner car for the same price...well, thats just a better deal..

ohhh well. i'll get pics tomorrow. i'm getting it back from the shop and will probably get timing belt done sometime this week.

Welcome to Supramania, and I hope they don't stick it to you too hard with the bill. If they do, hopefully he'll lube you up first since he is a friend...........:biglaugh:

well sorry to hear that but you live and you learn. But as time goes on and pockets get emptied you will look at your ride and you will realize its come along way since the first days you have had it. And you will be happy with it eventually.

the shop was sent the wrong part so the car should be done tomorrow. i just got a pm back from a guy and he said the previous owner of his car paid 3k for his engine rebuild...in that case, im f'd. Hopefully things will be good till i can swap i guess.
