just got my first supra

i just wanted to jump in and say hi. i just picked up my first supra, and i'm very excited. i've had all kinds of fast cars, but this is the first toyota for me.
it's a 1990 white targa top turbo. it was an auto, but was converted before i bought it. it does have some upper end noise, but absolutely no rust anywhere. i can't wait to get started on it.

i haven't heard it run yet. yes i bought it without hearing it run, but at the price i got it for i can buy a new motor and still be ahead.

here's an update.

i got the car running and there is indeed a noise. it sounds to me like it's in the lower end, but it the noise comes and goes. i was under the impression that a lower end noise would be constant. at this point i'm going to have someone come by to give it a listen and i'll go from there. the good news is, there's a guy a few blocks away that's having an 800hp 7m built for his supra. i may wait to see how that turns out, and possibly do a similar build. with winter almost here, i have plenty of time to make up my mind.

Springtime update..
I have the car on the road, and have been driving it for a couple weeks now. the bad news is.... the noise is still there. the good news is... the car has 104k on it, and is as rust free as they get. Everything works on it, and it has a really clean blue interior.
Right now it has an intermittent low idle/ stalling issue, but other than that it drives great.
I'm planning on picking up a motor this weekend so i can drive the car while i build the one that's in it. I'll have some pics up soon.
