Actually, that was literally nothing.

The doc tells me that the passage from your kidney to your bladder is tiny - much smaller than the bladder on. I get the impression that anything big enough to cause a problem passing beyond the bladder would need surgery before it got that far.

yup, that is correct. just be glad you're a guy and can get rid of them. my sister has a bunch and they're just sitting there messing with her kidneys.

my mom has had a few, several of which she has had to have some weird "sound" surgery. basically, it's like a lasar that they shoot into her kidneys to break up the stones into tiny pieces so that they can pass through. judging from how much pain my mom was in, please accept my condolances.

Grim glad to hear you are AOK. If you look at one of those little 'Bastads they are spikey and very sharp!

Also, don't drink or eat dairy products and drink TEA. I forgot how it goes, but there is something that bonds in the tea with the calcium in the dairy and wala.... kidney stones.

its actually just an ultra sound, like they do for babies, just on a different frequincy

No, I passed it in the hospital, when they wanted a urine sample.

It's way up there on the pain scale - I've been through worse, but I've hurt myself pretty badly a few times by now. It's bad enough to make you feel ill, sweat, and you get so weak you can barely move.

Luckily I'm only sore today.
