Hey guys, just letting everyone know about NOPI again this year on june 9th and 10th in St. Louis at gateway international raceway. I go every year and usually see a lot of mk4's and I've seen a couple mk3's there too. The strip is open for a good portion of the day to anyone willing to pay the money to get in, not sure how much but I think it was like 10 bucks last year. Also a car show and pro classes run including RWD Outlaw which is the same class titan motorsports and APR run thier Supra's. I'm going to hopefully be able to go, not sure on if I'll be bringing my mk3 or not, not enough mods to drag it and needs paitn so car show is out but it may be in the parking lot.
Anyone else going? or planning to? maybe we could make a small meet if enough people are gonna go, I usually go just for saturday since hotels cost tons of money and saturday is more fun for me. I've seen a couple nice mk3's, a RHD 1JZ and a LHD 600hp MK3 that ran low 11's on the strip.

:icon_evil :icon_evil I went to NOPI and aside from the fact the dragsters got rained out it was still pretty sad for us MK3 guys. I am sure saturday was much more fun since the weather was much better, but ya know theres like 7 MK4's there and several more racing, theres open session, or you can just park your car and show it off, oh and theres also Dyno time too. You'd think there'd be some MK3's but guess what, only one inside the event and one outside. Mine was parked outside as I didn't have the chance to register for anything, and the one inside the event. It was a white 1991 1JZ powered MK3 parked next to a red 500hp single turbo MK4.

I don't really like NOPI people or some of thier events. The drifting might be cool if it weren't full of 240's (I HATE 240's THEY ARE A DIME A DOZEN). The Honda wiggers that litter most of the area are about as fun as having the shits, but the fact that yopu can see all kinds of cool shit and have an open 1/4 mile track right in STL outta appeal to people, the MK3 community doesn't show itself much. I'd like to see St. Louis area Supra's all enter the car show as a group and maybe a few could run some open session too but judging by the only MK3's there was myself and Jesse a.k.a. JMCBOOST (His car is down for a 2jz NA-T Swap) and some guy with a 91 1JZ. I'd say we aren't too active. Maybe next year we can get some more Supra's to go, I'd be game for getting together and parking together and enjoying the event maybe bring a grill and pitch up a tent and chairs near the cars.

Oh yea, there was an ice R32 GTR Skyline there, several NA-T SC300's and IS300's as well as some 2JZGTE Swapped of the same types. Plus me, jesse, and kurt met Hulk Hogan, maybe not the coolest thing but at least we met him LOL.

Maybe next year guys, maybe next year...................
