^ Because thats SO much money. ;)

Looks like an awesome product if it handles decent power and sounds reasonable. I doubt its on par with normal drivers as far as those 2 qualities but it'd be better then nothing.

Still doesn't show price, and knowing JL, it will be $150+ dollars.

Says it won't be out until 3rd quarter 2007 so we won't see a price until then.
JL's are worth the money, I've seen lesser subs for more $$$, I've found JL to be a true "you get what you pay for" scenario.

Very nice, I like it. Since its JL you know it will sound good. Guess I better sell my pioneer ones now, I didn't even take them out of the box yet, too busy with other projects.

I wasn't saying that's alot of $, but JL stuff is expensive, and for small things. For $150+ dollars, you could get a way better sub for that money. I'm just saying $150+ for THAT is alot of money.

Do tell, if you're so sure there is better stuff for 150 then enlighten us. To find stuff on par with the quality and craftsmanship provided by JL, you will find most stuff is in a similar price range. Of course there are far better subs, but they are in a far higher price range.

Then again, I was saying this because I get major discounts on high price audio components at work ($300 dollar subs for $75-$100) so I meant I could actually get better for the $, this might not be the case for normal people.

BTW, I work in the car audio section of my work, so I know some stuff.

If you say so man, it’s been my experience that JL's have a very good price point irregardless of discounts. I spent several years in the auto audio segment myself, and after dealing with many different brands JL always came somewhere near the top of the list. Most of my associates felt the same way as well. Defiantly not the best but very good for what you pay.

I've delt with, sold, experienced, used; Fosgate(Big Thumbs Down), Pioneer, Kicker, MTX, Alpine, Infinity, and I'm sure more that I can't think of at the moment.

I have a single 10W6V2 right now and its by far my favorite sub I have ever owned/listened too. Yes, it was expensive. I think it was worth it.

The great thing about this new sub is that you can make your box very very shallow, and just increase the length and width. It still needs .6 cu/feet of encloser space.

I never said JL wasn't good, in fact, I also believe JL is one of the top audio providers that have the best sound (along with JBL, Focal, and Infinity).

Pioneer has a similar sub that has been out for some time. It can be found for under $100 on ebay. iirc chriso has on in his car, he put it right on top of the spare tire on the ply wood.

A friend of mine bought a diamond audio sub back when we was in school, it was a 12" sub and weighed like 40-50 lbs.... I've never heard one sub hit so hard in my life...
