I bought a JDM engine complete with JDM throttle body... the linkage is different. What can I do in order to get the JDM linkage to work with my USDM car? Obviously swapping with a USDM throttle body, but are there any other options?

Also, are there any other things that Need to be modified/changed?

I know 'bout the oil pressure sensor, ecu/harness, all the major stuff, but are there any other small things?

oops...forgot to tell you what to do...

take the whole linkage off the usdm one, put it on the jdm one.

the jdm tb wont have a vac nipple for the charcoal canister either.

The USDM linkage won't hook up to a JDM TB either though; since that metal rod connects to it on the USDM one and the JDM one will not have the correct setup for it.

If by chance you'll be getting rid of that JDM TB and cable mount cheap... PM me.

yah, that's my problem...

I'm going to try and get the JDM one to work somehow, I'd rather not buy a new TB

its simmmmmmmple. go to the junkyard and find a throttle cable that has the round end that will slide into place on the JDM throttle body, thats step one. (hint, late 90s camry throttle cables work great)

step two, unscrew your old rod which has the end that clips onto the ball on the bracket that is bolted to the top of the head.

step three, cut the cable to the proper length (measure twice ok?)

step four, get some 2 ton epoxy and epoxy that shit in there. let it sit over night and youre done.

make sure you mix the epoxy VERY well.

Thank you, that helps alot... those instructions require the presence of USDM throttle body linkage though, right? Not just the flapper connected to the thorttle body itself?

the JDM engine came with a handfull of stuff missing so I'm not sure how much is supposed to be there :)

it requires the bracket that the cable from the gas pedal, cruise control, and the rod from the TB hooks onto. you should still have that piece from your car.
