JDM throttle body swap question

Can you simply "un-bolt" the linkage on a JDM throttle body and swap it to the USDM, or does it have to be a complete swap of the throttle body? I want to get rid of the slop in the usdm linkage.

swap it with usdm. takign off the linkage would be a waste of time! also, you need an N/A throttle cable and bye bye cruise control. Accordign to shaeff in a pm

i deleted cruise control because i never used it. i still have it incase i want to put it back in. the engine bay is much nicer without it, though.

i never really looked at how to make the JDM TB work with the cruise control because i always intended on deleting it. however, it *shouldn't* be too difficult to fab up some sort of method for it to work. (either make your own linkage, or use a longer cable for the cruise control and wrap it around some how)

all i did with mine is secure the stock N/A throttle cable to the existing JDM bracket via a bolt/nut/washwer combo, and let it do it's thing. it's working pretty well.

the best way to do it would be to get an early '90s toyota 4runner throttle cable, as it will give you more room than the N/A cable will. (it's a tight fit, but it works)

I know about the cable, I have that covered. I was trying to figure out if I have to take off the "whole" t/b and swap it, or is it possible to just swap the linkage/spring set-up on the back side of the t/b?

heh as i said, it would just be easier to swap in the whole tb... why are you wondering about the linkage?

it seemed easier to swap that instead unbolting the whole t/b, that is if it will unbolt.
