i have a jdm 7mgte and a jdm oil pressure sending unit as pictured below. my oil pressure never worked. i will buy a usdm oil pressure sending unit because i know the jdm will probably fry my cluster. the only other problem i have is that on the wire harness i dont see any plug to plug in the sensor to what can i do ? ( i would like to use the stock guage)

the connector for the sender kinda snaps on and it has a rubber boot to cover the whole thing. shouldn't be to hard to find the connector off another member or something. on a side note, i have a brand new USDM 7mgte oil pressure sender i'm selling in my for sale thread for a good price if you're interested =0)

It's there, unless someone cut it off. In that case, look for a yellow wire with a black stripe. BTW - the ECU also senses oil pressure.

Any idea what it uses it for/what it controls based on the reading?

It's said the JDM sending unit will not work right but when I had the JDM sender it read the same as when I swapped for the USDM one. :dunno:
