Well i ordered a 7mgte from jdmenginecorp for 1099 free shipping but they are out of stock and have another 6 weeks before another shipment arrives so i have to find somewhere else. Any body got any favorites they do business with? Im going to call tokyomotorimports tomorrow and find out if they have one and what shipping would be from canada to wyoming since they have it listed for 900.

Honestly, i would just try to find one from a local junkyard or buy a used car and do transplant...either way you are gonna have to rebuild it. Dont trust that under 35k crap they advertise for the JDM motors. Also check in the FOR SALE section of SM, there are always good stuff floating around, you just have to search.

I'm looking for a 7m myself, and contacted the same people. Yea the wait is pretty long and I searched a few other sites as well. The cheapest I found was $1295. I'm kinda thinking rebuild, depends on what the tear down of my motor reveals.

HAHAHAHAHA... local junkyards with Supras in them? Good luck there, I could probably count the number of Supras in Wyoming on my digits, and don't think I'd need to take off my shoes to do it. :p

Sorry, meant no offense, we just don't have many around here. And what the shit, I didn't know there were other people in Wyoming with a Supra other than the ~7 people in the Rock Springs/Green River area. You going to Wyotech or something?

To answer your question though, I personally would only go through JHot Imports (http://www.jhotimports.com/) or Jarco (http://www.jarcoinc.com/), although I might take a chance on JDM Engine Corp, given their Ebay feedback. I went with JHot for my 1j and couldn't be happier. :)

Just did a JDM turbo 5 speed swap into a 87 na/auto and there are lots of issues. JDM's will have the wrong engine harness (cz they're right side steering) and be sure not to buy from a firm in Canada. I did from ebay site and got burned big time.

Cool cool... funny how Supra guys congregate to the dealerships. Two of the ~5 of us with Supras (that I know of anyway) around here both worked at the Honda-Toyota shop here in RS. If you guys are ever gonna be westbound lemme know. :)

I would just do a rebuild. You will get a much better end result and theres a great possibility that you will have to rebuild the jdm motor too.
