The JDM engine only puts out 280HP on paper. All the Japanese cars companies at one point had an agreement that they would only put out cars with up to 280 HP. Though the JDM model has a slightly less agressive cam then its USDM counterpart it puts out way more then 280 hp.

I agree with rick,
JDM is simpler with the map instead of maf it all depends on what you want to do with your car.

If you want to leave the engine stock and pass strict emission inspections/test and go legal use the USA 2jzgte then bar and ref your car it will be legal.

If your going all out and going big single right away then go JDM it will actualy make more power because it dont have an EGR and it haves a simple to tune MAP instead of MAF. but in the end it dont matter because you go standalone for big power add ons (gets rid of maf unless its piggy back ecu). go the jdm route is best.

JDM 2J has smaller cams, smaller turbos, and smaller injectors and its MAP.

but looking at yur info it looks to me that the JDM twins are actually larger????
