are you trying to hold up the car, or the subframe?
im assuming that the rear of the car is already up on stands. so i would loosen all the bolts first, and use a jack to assist u in holding it up

put it on the pinch welds were it tells you in the owners manual of just about any car. its very strong and solid there even though it doesn't look that way.

I chocked the front wheels and jacked up the rear end, used tall jack stands, on the rear chasis jack points, got enough height to remove the sub frame and sub assembly.
Tip: I placed a two foot by two foot 3/4 inch plywood plate on the jack and that helped stabilize the entire sub assembly, while lowering and again when elevating in to position. Needed another pair of hands to guide the sub assembly into place, so I got help from a neighbor. Good luck on your project.
Are you upgrading something? Van

Do you think the rear ones stand stable? I tried pushing the car and it stod still.

For those of you who place them on the pinch welds, do you put something between the pinch weld and jackstand?

EDIT:
Van: Yes, I will start with reinforcing the rear subframe so that I don't have to worrie about that later on. Then there will be bushings, swaybars, struts and so on. But since everything costs money I can't do everything at once :-/ I will post a plan later in my project thread.
Thank you.

I see IJ finally got new jackstands :D

Anyway, I have a tranny jack and will be using it to remove my subframes when I do them... I may disassemble my suspension first as the weight of the car will be easy to work against if any of the fasteners are stuck...

I also use rubber pads on my jackstands and they're notched like IJ's for use on pinch welds...
