I'm gonna be installing a AFPR and I've heard that I should bypass the jtube can I just bypass it or does it have to be removed and blocked off???

None of your fucking business
Why do you need to remove it? I thought if you bypass it you can just leave it or grind the tube off if you're too cheap to buy a block off plate?

edit, read kurts post again... I read it wrong. God I'm such a moron, Fuck...

^^^You are correct. You can do whatever you want with it. Heck, get yourself a 5M oil pump driveshaft, and slap a mechanical fuel pump in there if ya want :)

it's just part of the fuel line and has a restriction in it by design. For more flow people bypass it, then you can remove it and get a block off for the block or leave it there for decoration :)

the j tube is there incase the stock fuel pressure regulator craps out. the restriciton in the j tube will cause enough backpressure to maintaing fuel pressure so you could limp home. with high flow pumps, the restriction is TOO much, and causes fuel pressure issues. (ie: too much pressure= running really rich)

one end is fully open, the other end has like a pin-hole opening - that is the restriction for backpressure.

Do a search on J-tube and you'll get some shots I'm sure, I just saw one recently...
