Ok so idk if you guys have been reading up on my old posts, but ive been havin a hell of a time trying to get my supra on the road. Ill tell my long story short, lol. So It all started when i bought a pitbike for 250 bucks about 2 years ago. I rode that for a while, than traded that for a yamaha xj seca II. Cruized that for about a week, and found a guy in indiana that wanted to trade that for his blown 87 7Mgte. Picked that up, rebuilt it, and sorta didnt take care of it, leaving the hood off multiple times when it rained... :$ it was stayin at my buddies house, so icouldnt really work on it and i ddnt have any funds. So i got that runnin, then my tranny pump went, pulled it out and put a newer pump in.

I got that runing, then the motor spun a bearing. ive had the motor out a couple times before that to fix some problems i had. So after all that i found a 7mgte that was built in the for sale section. Swooped it up for SO CHEAP!! ill tell you how much after i list what it has :D

Got that in my 87, started it up drove it around my neighboorhood a couple days, then my oil pump shaft pulley went bad somehow and low oil pressure = spun bearing again!

But before it went i found a super nice 89 i believe White package supra shell for 400 bucks!! It has a denso fuel pump good for 500+ whp and brand new all seasons on her! :)

So anyways now to my build.

The motor i bought came with the following:

JE pistons (stock bore)
Eagle H-beam rods
decked block
Milled head and rebuilt stock (new everything)
HKS 2.0 MLS HG
Fully balanced
AEM adjustable cam gears
GE cams (i put my GTE cams in though)
Afetrmarket turbo manifold
CX racing T60/1.15 ar turbo
external wastegate
GM 3 bar
HKS-PFC Fcon/GCC
extra 89 ecu
extra injectors
6puck clutch
11 lb lightweight flywheel
R154 tranny.

I got all that for 1260 shipped to my garage! it was 700 for the setup and 560 for shipping. :D IS THAT A DEAL OR WHAT??

So i have the motor completely apart now, got the rods reconditioned and resized. Everything rebalanced. I got STD acl bearings, but found out i needed 0.25 ones. :( so i have to wait a couple more days. I ordered some 0.25 Clevites now from SIP by the way.

So here are some pics.

Awesome build there :D good luck with the project. Did u get ur rear timing cover decked with the block as well (just to make sure ;D)

Not sure about the notch... maybe a directional wise indicator or something but don't think they'd go through all the trouble for that.

Could be an oil path for the oil hole on the rod.

^^ I was reading something about the oil squirters being cutback to fit in the pauters. Was that a manditory IJ? I plan on running them in on my next project.

I come from a land down under
Squirters are fine but you do have to relieve the block to clear them, I also had to machine down the Oil Pump Drive shaft as above 8000 the rods were brushing it leaving chatter marks on the bearings.

Huh ya idk why they are there in the first place... Maybe when they got balanced? Idk lol but thx for the input!

And yes he did deck the cover with it... I myself ddnt do it, but the guy said it was, and it never leaked at all... So ya I'm sure its hard to tell on that aluminum if it's been decked but it looks relatively clean... Lol I'm sure it was cause the dude didn't skimp out on anything with the engine build...
