Looks like toyota is getting back to there performance stages again its no 2j but a v6 3.5 making 305hp is pretty damn impressive wonder how soons its gona be before we see this in a MKIII.....

i wouldnt put it in a mk3. chances are its a fly by wire motor and fly by wire is a restriction in my eyes. its nice to see toyota kick it up and nice to see them build a 300hp V6 but this V6 isnt small at all.
I wouldn't be able to go N/A in a supra.. and turboing it would be difficult becasue of header issues, twins as well because of strut tower clearance. Its an interesting thought tho, I didn't even think about it.
I'm with Sniper on this one, if it's not a straight 6, it has no business under the hood of a Supra :bowdown:
Drive by wire isn't a restriction the moment you put the engine in another vehicle. Because then, you can do whatever you want!
what about the direct injection? That could be an issue as the fuel system has to handle 1200psi.
Do they even have upgrades for an direct fuel injection system having a car thats meant to run lean is just Crazy.

Sometimes it does sometimes it doesnt. Fly by wire is total crap imo

as a matter of fact it is a two fold thing as it can be used as traction control and normal throttle
Of course it would take a motec to control DBW throttle but if it is good enough for F1 and most BMW, Ferraris and renaults then it is good enough for Chev, ford and Teeyota.

good enough for practicality. we tried it in shop. cable reacted just a little faster the fly by wire. or drive by wire as you call it figgie.
Although you are right some tundra drivers are looking for power low end and sometimes the dbw sux. Sometimes it'll roast em and most of the time its like a honda leavin the line

The OEM turn it down alot to prevent people from killing themselves. Of course the dealers can adjust that to make it just like cable
