The fork I pulled out of my w58 (in my mk2) is a stamped steel number...(reason for replacing it was a worn pivot ball clip.

I the fork I received from a mk3 w58 was cast, I'm confident it would work, but if anybody has any differing opinnions lemme hear em.

How would you know if it's stamped or cast? I never paid any attention to the fork other than that I make sure it works. haha

you'd have to look at it...if it looks like it was poured into a mold, and is a big rough nasty hung of metal, it was forged, it its smooth and curved on the edges...stamped.

either way..im just gonna use a later model TOB and i'll be all set.
