Here are a few pics of my spare turbo engine. My question is are u supposed to be able to a flashlight's light shown thru the water neck to the back of the block. 
Is this normal for the 7mgte.

i am serious. this is the only 7m gte i have personally seen apart. i thought that there were supposed to be coolant passages not just a gaint empty cavity that surrounds all the cylinders. i have searched and cannot find anything that looks like this. also in na-t i couldnt see the flashlight thru the top coolant passages.

i was my spare motor but after the last mini blizzard my garage collapsed on top of my car i was able to pull the car out but i couldnt get in until i melted a little and water obviously ran thru the block. trying to slavage whatever i can at this point. the cylindersneed to be bored cause of the last owner breaking the rings apart and gouging the cylinders and messing up the head. my na-t is up and running thou. these are all my spare parts. my cousin is a student at new england tech and brought all the aluminum engine parts to be cleaned. will post up more pics when i get the peices back
