Is this a scam?

Buddy of mine on another forum want looking to buy a supra but found this "super-rare" Imperial Jade Mica with a TT 6 speed. The owner claims it's a 1998 but I'm almost certain supra's ceased production in the US in 97 and Japan in 98. Here's the ad....

Supras were produced til 98 here. I think they went to 01 in Japan. I don't know about how many jade ones they made but it is a pretty rare color and the price looks ok for an all-original car provided the mileage is pretty low.

States with California air restrictions didn't get TT '98's, only NA so if that's a factor for your state, chances are you won't be able to get it registered.

But a post saying "this isn't a scam" is usually a scam..

The price is about right too.

I think that is a very fair price for that car. The IJM isn't one of my favorite colors but it is a nice supra. If your friend has $25,000.00 burning a hole in his pocket then this is the car for him.

Its only a scam if you give them any money. Otherwise if you go see it there is little that can be scammed. Get the VIN, carfax it. Price seems right and it doesnt use terrible english like "reply to my advert in hurry if you want"
