All signs from MY searching have pointed to yes, but maybe one of the older guys could say into this. Perhaps it's a super old version? I still say fake tho. BTW it doesn't appear on their website anywhere I could find either.

Looks like a fake to me. Mine is red and it bolts on like has been said. I guess you get what you pay for.

Btw the real deal has apexi spelled in raised metal block letters located on the adapter plate that came with the Apexi filter and not where its shown on the link with a cheap stick on label at the other end.

^or patent their filters, if they havent already..

I'm sure they do have patents on their filter. Just like you see knock offs of Rolex watches you see it with many popular items. The makers of the fakes "change" the look just enough to get away with it legally. As the old saying goes let the buyer be ware.

If it's on Ebay with a fancy picture, and the price is way too good to be true. It's probably a fake.

Stay away from those really cheap fakes. They are made out of plastic. Every piece of it is plastic and cheap brittle plastic.

This is what happened to me after about 2 weeks and 200 miles.
Got sucked into my turbo and chipped and bent a few fins.
