Is there really such a thing as a 500hp daily driver?

This is my goal but I know that many people on this website have daily drivers and they just use the Supra's for the weekend. I'm honestly too poor to do that but I want my car to be the truth. I've been doing a whole lot of reading; so much my head is hurting. But my question is, what is a definite way to make 500hp efficiently using pump gas? :1zhelp:

I am building mine to be a 500 hp DD the key is to install the best parts you can afford even if that means saving up for them for a while like I am. Take you time and get it tuned properly dont do that half assed seat of the pants BS.

Man, when they told me the Supra was expensive...I didn't know the half. I set my eyes on one thing, then I have to spend money on something else. I'm just about to do like Joe and sell drugs...

Can be done. But do you really want a 500 HP DD?
I stated my reasons in the first post. I want a high hp Supra that I can drive to work and school but then take to the track on Friday nights.

My Supra is my DD and Ive got a Singled 1jz. Roughly 420hp currently, shooting for 500-550. Like everyone else is saying, just don't half-ass it, buy the best parts you can get even if it means saving up for a while. Get a conservative tune and don't beat the shit out of it.

Yes - many times over ... (no I'm not one of them).

I thought the subject was your question, but okay ...
First - define "efficiently". Second - throw the right turbo into the mix of supporting mods & you're there.

My opinion - settle for 3-400hp for about 18 years, then, once you can spend serious money on yourself again ... go for 6-800!!

the great thing about a turbo car... you can have 500HP at the flick of a switch and stock power when you want to conserve gas...
