Stock flywheel is good for just about anything you can throw at it.

It's the rotating mass that most people are trying to eliminate. It gets your RPM's up faster which means you can get into boost quicker.

However, with that lack of mass, you loose momentum, the motor is quicker to "spin down" and it's a bit harder to drive in heavy traffic.

Everything in performance modification is a trade off.

Lightweight aluminum flywheels don't have enough mass to disipate the heat from a high performance clutch, and have a nasty tendancy to weld the clutch disk to the flywheel...

I'm running stock, and will continue to do so. If I cna find a good lightweight steel flywheel I might go with one of those. IIRC Duane is going with a new multi plate setup, which usually includes a new flywheel...we'll have to see

why do you need a new one? if it's not cracked, it can usually be resurfaced for a small fee ($30 for mine, and they used a special mill to do it)

new one? dealer, as all the parts stores are on backorder (I just checked a week ago)

get pics and tell us how it feels...

I think I'll be using a multiplate if I get up to 500HP, but I hear they're grabby...

I will do a feedback thread when I install it.

The info I am getting is that it will be a bolt in clutch and will have a stock feel :)
