there used to be a company that offered a 3.3L stroker kit for the 7m. i havn't heard anything about them in a long time. if my memory serves me, i think adjuster might have had tried it out. not sure though.

last i heard there was some complaints about the company due to poor customer service and such. i think its been close to a year since i have seen anything about it. i wish i could remember the company name. im sure someone remembers from the old pre-hack SM. :icon_conf

The flatlander kit is a 3.2 litre that they advertise at 3.6. It must have a huge overbore. Which isnt a good idea either.

that is a typo

3.2 liters

and that is with a hefty 85mm bore.. 86mm bore and you are treading on thin sidewalls ;)

our cylinder walls are already thin enough. Stroking... sure but boring? ehh

i rember hearing something about one of these companies making crappy cranks. Something like the cranks had a weakpoint and would snap in half?

that was the plan, 5m crank and shot peened 5m rods pushing 7m pistons. i beleive the belt order on the 5m crank pulley was different than the 7m. i had a few ideas to get around this, but i was forced to sell the car anyways.

i might re visit this idea again to swap into a nice mk2 in a few years. but for now it will have to stay in the realm of fantasy.:biglaugh:

Flatlander is a bunch of liers, search supraforums....

here i will retort

I had zero problems with them. As a matter of fact I had purchased the stroker motor before adjuster did. Only difference. I had them do everything including the build up. I of course double checked everything and everything is spot on :) Didn't have a problem with them at all.

now the motor is apart again getting work done on the head :)

One word.. Beryllium Copper valve seats ;) That is just the tip of this iceberg.
