I'm a Marine Grunt stationed in Camp Lejeune. Anyway, I've always had a hard on for the Supra and a few months ago I finally got my hands on one. It's and 87 Turbo with 80,000 miles on it, real nice interior and overall well maintained. It is completely stock for now, at least until I get some money to start doing some work on it. The only problem that I have noticed since I have had it is that my 2nd gear is notchy, kinda stiff and it's worse when downshifting. My overall goals are to bring it up to the 350-400hp mark, add a body kit, rims, and suspension. I'm not very knowledgeable about cars, I've only ever really done some basic work on a 67 z28 camaro, and imports are a completely new breed to me so much help will be needed as I work on the build up.

I will put some up once I it have back from the shop, sometime this week. I had to get that 2nd gear checked out by somebody who knows what they're doing since I've never done any transmission work and through my troubleshooting and reading the manual, even checking the forums I could not be conclusive with a diagnosis of the problem.

Welcome aboard, Jon. :)

If I had to quickly summarize what it's like to modify a car like this...

There's one really important thing you should know:
It's a very high maintenance car.
Not so much because they're troublesome, but rather because between
bad owners and aging parts, you're going to have to replace stuff once
you begin to double and triple the power they made 20 years ago.
Once you've got all that out of the way, 350-400HP out of a MKIII Supra
is a walk in the park anymore. :)

Good luck, Always Search, and Welcome, again.
