Introduction #2...now with a '92 Teal

Hey guys,

I had an '87 shell that was my old project car, but due to time constraints I never did much with it. I sold that locally, and recently I got a new '92 Teal Supra back in March, and have been meaning to do an introduction for a while now. I didn't get around to it since I've been finishing up Graduate School (I am now graduated as of this month...yay!). The basics: '92 Teal/Turbo/Targa with original paint from California (this is significant to me since I live in the rust belt).

I didn't do too much to it but enjoy driving it over the summer. The only decent pictures I have so far are ones taken together with my Prelude (my daily):

I've started some supporting modifications to my build this week. I am going to start a build thread pretty soon. I will also be maintaining a blog on my website with the progress (I think it's sometimes easier to navigate that than a build thread with tons of pages):

Basically I'm wanting it to be a very streetable 500-550rwhp using a GT35R turbo. Some of the supporting mods I'm hoping to accomplish in its downtime this winter: Long runner FFIM made by Seth, FMIC, AFPR, Walbro 255 fuel pump, PWR radiator, battery relocation to the hatch, injectors, and a MAFT PRO to tune it with. I will spell everything out in more detail in my build thread. But until then, I hope you guys enjoy the pics!

About 3 hours away. I don't know if you know him, but I bought my first '87 shell from Kyle in Lima, OH (he has an '89 with a 2JZ swap). Are you in Lima? I notice your profile says Indiana as well. We should meet up some time in the spring/summer.

Thanks! I just hit 100,000 miles over the summer. Although I've put less than 1,000 miles on it since I've had it. I like the rims as well...I'm thinking of getting something different though. These were put on by the previous owner, and I think a new set would make it "mine".

I also have a bomex lip for it. I'm just trying to decide if I want to paint it flat black or color-match the teal. I did a photoshop and I think I would like it painted teal .

Unfortunately I think he was just rear-ended and is selling/parting out his car.

I'll see if I can make it to the Indy2k10 meet. Unfortunately I am still on the stock HG and I can't keep my foot out of it in this car. With my luck I'll BHG a few hundred miles from home. :1zhelp: ... haha

What do you think of UNOH? My brother is graduating high school this June. He is planning on attending Stark State (a local college with an automotive program), but I'm sure he would be interested in hearing an opinion on UNOH.

If you know anyone that may want the wheels let me know...I'm open to offers/trades. They are pretty rare wheels (Work VS-SS).

Teal hater...j/k . Everyone is welcome to their own opinion. With teals I have noticed people either love it or hate it. At first I didn't like it much either but it's grown on me quite a bit. I think they look a bit different in person too (for the better IMO).

I like the school so far.... i have only been here for about 6 months but TheNewRed on here is a good friend and also a student that is getting ready to graduate from here so he will know more about the school and all the classes. But he will prolly learn more here than at a local collage with a basic auto program.... what is he wanting to do? Just basic automotive or high performance?

ive taken welding and fabrication classes so far and i loved it...

Yea i would love to get those wheels... so let me know when you are ready to part with them and ill see if i can get them... if i cant ill deff. keep my eyes peeled for anyone looking for baller wheels
