I have been lurking on Supramania for almost a year now without posting anything.
I have not posted as I do not have my project car yet.
I am looking at a 1989 Toyota Cressida GLS 3.0 Twin-cam 24. I owned one 5 years ago but wrote it off before I could really get started with it, and want to make amends now.
I have found one and made the owner an offer. He says that it is overheating and needs some or other water pipe replaced. I don't believe him. I think its a BHG.
I plan to buy the car, strip it to bare metal and repair any rust, rebuild the 7M-GE to be replaced later with a 1UZ-GE with ITB's. My theme for the car is JDM VIP with as many Lexus styling cues as I can squeeze in there.
That's my intro and I hope to post soon when I have the car and manage to take some photos.
