intermittent front end shake

Hello supramania, this is my first thread but i've been lurking for a hot minute.
I've had a 1987 NA for about a year and I love it, so far I've redone the suspension (tokico blues and H&R springs), the exhaust from headers to tip and put new wheels on it (I'm especially stoked on the custom center caps I made from a NOS set off of a 70s corolla).
Here's the problem: my car has recently developed a severe vibration in the front end that i'm having a hell of a time diagnosing. The tires are maybe four months old and balanced, that's where i started. My lower ball joints were bad so i figured that was it but the problem came back after i replaced them. i also replaced an inner tie rod end that was so bad it was flopping around but that didn't fix it either. The part that's especially confusing is it only seems to happen during the day. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks for your time.

Only happens during the day? Not at night?

Control arm bushings good?
Tires balanced?
Bumpy roads make it worse?
Rack bushings good?

Well, before you damage other things in the suspension, you'd better check everything.

Check bushings in the upper and lower A frames. Make sure those aren't moving around on you.

Check both tie rod ends.

Does the car only shake while braking? Does it only do so when NOT braking? There could be clues there.

Is it only while it's WARM, or does it stop on cool days, too?

You said that you recently redid the suspension. Replacing the front struts means unbolting the upper A frame. Is it torqued back in correctly, with the weight on the suspension while you do, as per TSRM?

I'm somewhat concerned that you "redid the suspension" and managed to miss bad lower ball joints and "an inner tie rod end that was so bad it was flopping around". This tells me that you didn't really check much when you did the work, and it's very possible that you missed tightening/torquing something. It's worth going over everything that you touched, or may have touched again to make sure that it's properly tightened.

I'm having the same problem with my SC400. With mine it's the lower control arm bushings, which is a problem with these cars equivalent to BHG in a Supra. Two brand new MKIV TT LCA's are going on it next weekend. They're a direct fit and hundreds of $$ cheaper than Lexus brand. Good luck!
