Hey guys,

Let me start off with a quick introduction to the situation and an assessment of the products used. It's been nearly two years since I've taken my Supra out of the garage. It was a beautiful day today, so I figured I would take advantage while I could.

Unfortunately, the passenger window switch was temperamental and left the passenger window open for the two years it was stored. It collected some dust so I vacuumed and quickly wiped the interior before I took the shots.

I find that starting with Tan interior is a downside because it is a very light colour. When you scratch something, it shows and is very noticeable especially when the sun is shining. I recommend that if you want to paint your interior you start with a darker colour such as Blue or Grey. That way if a part scratches it will blend in easier.

The interior including the dash was sprayed with SEM Matte Black spray paint. The carpet was sprayed with Duplicolor Fabric Spray Paint.

SEM was pretty expensive compared to what I could have got Duplicolor for. I figured I would do it right the first time. You know what they say. "Buy once. Cry once." I was pretty surprised at how well it worked. It applied evenly and went on with very little preparation. Some light sanding and a sterilization of the interior parts would round off my prep work.

The Dulpicolor for the carpet works okay. Any high wear areas near the rocker panels, pedals and anywhere your legs touch regularly will fade quickly. The key is to remove the front seats every once in a while and touch it up. The carpet may get crispy feeling because of the paint drying, but just brush your open hand over the carpets surface gently to soften it.

I do not have any interior past the rear quarter window panels. I never ended up getting some mint pieces to spray. I would still like to get them. I do not have the floor board or bracket available at this time either.

What do I do about the hanging roof panel? I tried gluing it with 3M spray on glue, but it didn't last long. What do you recommend?

Interior Parts Ready For Install:

I have an 89+ drivers side door panel with the large speaker. My Supra is an 87. Will it fit properly?

I can't seem to get the handle back on the A-Pillar. Any tips?

I have the metal brackets on the rear quarter panels, but I am missing the rubber gaskets. Can I still install them?

What is this? I can't seem to figure out if even from the car.??

Extra Parts?!?!

Where do these rear seat brackets go? Didn't get a good look. Got dark. Called it a night.

QUESTIONS:

#1 What I really need to know is what goes first? Don't forget, I only have the interior from the rear quarter window panel forward.

#2 I am not quite sure that I can install rear seats (not shown. Blue leather, decent condition) as I am not sure where the rear seat bracket is. Will this effect the installation of the interior?

#3 I seem to be running short on screws for the interior and I know there are a few sizes used. I have 8 1/2 and 10 5/8 screws. Anything else I'm missing?

#4 Can I install the rear quarter panel windows without the weather seal?

Is there a walkthrough on the forum or somewhere online that I can find a break down of what interior goes where and maybe some help specifically how to install the tricky panels (rear quarter window panel).

Thank you so much for your help,

Firstly, is this a hardtop, targa, or sunroof car?

#1 - kindof depends on the answer to the question above.

#2 - Doesn't matter, seats go in last.

#3 - It's worth getting some extra screws. I found a guy parting a car and asked him for all the screws he could find. He sent me a big baggie of 'em. Probably one of the best purchases I've ever made.

#4 - You can, however, it's not ideal. No idea what kind of problems it might cause, though.

For the door panel with the big speaker - do you have the speaker mount that goes behind the panel? If so, no problem. If you only have the old style speaker mount, the door panel will not fit without a lot of modification to the speaker pod or the door panel - or both.

The handle should slot in pretty easily to the a pillar when you're mounting it in the car.

The weird looking piece is one of the locking tabs for the bottom rear seat cushion. There should be one on either side of the cushion.

Extra parts look like either a rear hatch cover hook - goes in the bottom of the hatch - or the clothing hook in the rear seating area, near the top seatbelt mount for the front seat. And some seat mount bolt covers.

Need a picture of those rear seat brackets without the baggies... can't see very clearly through the baggie.

Just swapped my 89 interior into my 87.

#1. Rear quarter goes first.
#2. Seats can go in last.
#3. I'm not sure how many you need. I would buy assorted interior screws. Most are hidden from view.
#4. I think it might rattle against the window without the rubber strip.

If you have any questions pm me.

I might as well ask while I'm here. I wouldn't mind putting a couple more bucks into the Supra. It's been a while since I was last in the upgrading game, so I just wanted to know what you guys think would be the next step for me. The list of mods are as follows.

Internals:
HKS MHG
ARP Bolts
JP Pistons
Shot Peened Rods

Engine:
Apexi Air Filter
Cooleeze Intake Pipe
HKS BOV w/ Pipe
NGK Spark Plug Wires

Exhaust:

RS*R GT2 Cat-Back Exhaust
BIC Test Pipe
BIC Divorced Downpipe

Suspension:

B+G Springs
Tokiko HP Shocks

Drivetrain:
Centreforce Dual Friction Clutch

Cooling:
Koyo Racing Radiator
Cooleeze Radiator Pipe

I was thinking of going the super cheapo way and buying an HKS FCD to cut the fuel and raise it to around 15psi. I had a manual boost controller in this car before and with an autometer boost gauge, it showed I was pushing 15psi without the fuel cut. I guess I could go cheaper by shimming the wastegate, but I want a little more oomph.

Whatya think?
