interference head question

On a 1JZ-GTE
is HKS 264 intake interference? NO
is HKS 264 exhaust interference NO
but is the 272 interference? YES, NO, MAYBE ?

I am planning to get some cams I would like to get 272 but i heard they are interference has anyone put in a 272 and turned the engine and notice the piston hitting the valve?

I believe the interference thresh hold is anything 9.3 and below lift is safe or is it 9.3 and up is interference?

The reason i am verry cautious about this is because i have had a tensioner snap in half on me before on my 1JZ my timing slipped at least 180° if it would have been interfernce the engine would be toast.

Im running hks 272's and they are interference when I put the cams in I could not rotate the cam 360 it would stop when the valves hit the pistons

So to this information i can conclude anything = or > then 9.3 ='s 1 misshape broke belt your engine is no more...

Final question there a non interference 272 such as crowler/june/crane/etc.. or does this mean buy 264 ?

Jay bought some small Core 272 IIRC

I don't know if there is an issue for him though

My 1JZ large core 272's (10.3mm lift) are supposed to be interference.

I'm using a 2JZ-GE bottom end with a 2.5mm HG.

I rotated the cams by hand when installed to see if there was any binding.

None, cause I cheated.
