"North Dakota Air National Guard's 119th Fighter Wing, known as the Happy Hooligans, say their radio frequencies were cluttered with orders and chatter. At one point, one of the pilots thought he heard the Secret Service say 'Protect the House' - presumably the White House."

That's funny as hell. I work on radio systems for the USAF, and I can tell you that you don't just transmit on all frequencies and clutter them up. When something critical is going on, people will most likely focus on one selected channel in secure mode, using a frequency hopping technique.. and you don't have a "scan" mode like civilian scanner radios - you hear what is selected on the radio set control.

Want something more mind-bending than that? Check this out:

Don't flood it - it's on my personal account. :p

That is the most bad ass thing I have ever seen! I have suspected for a long long time that the Pentagon was never hit by a jumbo.

Just like Payne Stewarts plane, the real plane headed to the Pentagon was shot down by the USAF.

That was pretty neat, but I still don't think civilians are qualified experts as to what a "missile" sounds like. Hell, I'm not even an expert as to what missiles sound like. As for the crash, there's more to it than what you can see in the aftermath. I would also like to see the footage, but it is entirely possible that a 757 crashed. MDC, why do you think the USAF shot it down? As for the controllers, you can make a lot of airplanes do a lot of funky stuff if you push them hard. And if you were going to crash it, who cares if you over-G it. It could certainly make it look "abnormal" for a typical jumbo flight. I don't think the 757 really qualifies for jumbo status, it's a heavy, but the 747 is the jumbo.

As for Payne Stewarts plane...
If I can recal...
Because it was about to enter into Canadian RESTRICTED airspace and there were no answers to any air traffic control. Also, two military f-15 IIRC were sent to intercept it, and BOTH reported "Ice in the windows. No signs of life."
At that time, Im sure the call went to blow it out of the sky when they were over the vacant area(s) below.

As for the Pentagon, as I have long said. Planes leave ditches in the ground, and wing / engine marks in the sides of buildings.

Nothing of that nature was ever found there....

so what is this saying? the pentagon was hit by a missle? or small ass jet packed with tons of boom? or was this a planted boom that went off when an object was in range?
but i really hate when the gov covers stuff up. but to protect us from a mass panic they must.

Hey fellas,

I didn't mean about shooting Stewart's plane, but about the supposed 757. Little misunderstanding there, sorry. As for the over-G, I was merely thinking if you're going to fly the plane into a building, who cares if you over-G the sucker on the way there? I'm currently taking an aviation safety course which involves accident investigations and I've seen pics of crashes that don't look like plane crashes at all (basically the plane more or less disentegrates from the energy involved), but the Pentagon crash site does look a little "off".
