There would definately be a market for an affordable header that is well designed and actually fits without having to be modified to work.

Currently all we really have are Pacesetter, OBX, and Paeco (which apparently is a modified Pacesetter). I believe 935 Motorsports also sells modified headers.

I am currently shopping for headers. I can't find the OBX for sale anywhere. I can find the Pacesetter for under $200 on ebay, but after I get them fixed it will be more like $250. Anyone know where I can pick up the OBX?

What exactly has to be done to the Pacesetter to make it fit properly? I am definately in the for a good header.

I have done a lot of searching on this, and it seems the only thing is to move the O2 sensor port closer to the engine. The other option is the lengthen the wires of the sensor.
Also, the final section of pipe is a skinny 2" so to get the most out of the upgrade it is recommended to cut that pipe out and weld in a 2.5" section.

People have also complained about having to grind down the flanges to make the header fit on the head properly. I haven't installed mine yet, so I can't personally comment on that issue.

If someone were to make some tubular nice headers for under 350 id be down for a set.

The pacesetters are too similar to the stock peices to put effort and money into

Just keep your stock manifold and swap it when you go smog.

I don't get why people keep repeating that. If the headers start out similar its because Toyota did the engineering in the first place and have the runner grouping correct. No need to change that. The gains are going to come from having smoother flow out of the head and loosing that cat. Those two things will make power combined.
N/A will never equal the HP per dollar of forced induction, but for $250 mod to increase power a bit, and increase throttle response I think its worth it.
Admitedly, the primary reason I am looking for a header is looks. My 7M is going into an old car that I want to look good. The stock manifold is almost too ugly to look at even with the heat sheilds.
